Plan Supply-Chain Partnerships Before ‘Shopping’ for the Partners

October 17 Traffic Club of Chicago Briefing Features Jane Suter of C.H. Robinson

Jane SuterCHICAGO, IL—October 8, 2013 (James Street Media Services)—Jane Suter, vice president of transportation for C.H. Robinson, one of the world’s largest third-party logistics providers, will be the featured speaker at the October 17 Executive Briefing hosted by the Traffic Club of Chicago.

Suter will be discussing how to create a logistics plan that emphasizes ongoing shipping efficiencies and great service for customers. She will address: evaluating freight costs vs. landed costs; how to find the right “go-to” provider for your company; establishing long-term relationships with vendors; and how to leverage those relationships.

At C.H. Robinson, Suter is responsible for the development of strategy for customer tiering, account management, and marketing. She focuses on the food and beverage, and retail and consumer-products industries.

“I encourage companies to evaluate their approach, before they evaluate providers to hire,” said Suter. “It’s just like having a plan when you go to the grocery store—if you stick to your list, you won’t blow your budget.”
