Kenco Experts Participating in June 18-19 IWLA Warehouse Law Symposium

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.—June 17, 2014 (James Street Media Services)—Two top-level executives from Kenco—a leading provider of integrated logistics solutions, real estate services, and material handling equipment—will be among the presenters at the upcoming Warehouse Legal Practice Symposium hosted by the International Warehouse Logistics Association (IWLA). The conference starts June 18 in Chicago.

Kenco Vice President and General Counsel Ann Christopher will be part of a panel discussing hot topics in warehouse law. Among the topics to be addressed are: consequential damages, disaster contingency planning, e-commerce and contractor liability.

Also at the conference will be Kenco’s Vice President of Information Technology Kristi Montgomery. Both Montgomery and Christopher will participate in an education symposium at the seminar focused on data protection for 3PLs. They will be discussing the liability of protecting customers’ data, potential dangers, contract language to protect 3PLs, and cyber-liability insurance. They will also be discussing risk management and risk mitigation around data access, control, and security.

Christopher is considered one of the country’s leading authorities on warehouse law and has served as a speaker for the American Bar Association, Transportation Lawyers Association, Southeastern Warehouse Association, Texas Warehouse Association, and IWLA. Having worked for the EPA in the past, she is also very knowledgeable about regulatory compliance.

At Kenco, Montgomery is responsible for a broad array of technology including strategy, applications, infrastructure, support, and execution. She serves as the chairman of the local IT Leadership Committee, is a member of her local chapter of Women in Technology, Inc., and is a Certified Information Executive Level II. She frequently volunteers in the BuildIT program in the local chapter of Girls, Inc., a program designed to encourage middle and high school girls to enter a career in information technology.
