Kenco’s Kristi Montgomery Presenting on “3PL Technology Integration” at Aberdeen SCM Summit

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.—March 28, 2013 (James Street Media Services)—Kenco’s Kristi Montgomery, vice president, IT, will discuss “3PL Technology Integration” at the upcoming Aberdeen Supply Chain Management (SCM) Summit, taking place April 9–10, 2013 in Chicago.

Montgomery will identify issues that companies should address when transitioning to a new 3PL partner. Along with other IT leaders, she will explore how technology integration and data exchange have been handled by leading supply chain companies that faced the need to integrate 3PL services across warehousing and shipping, transportation and delivery, inventory control, customer service, and finance.

“The presenters will talk about using technology to make the transition smoother and give customers a better experience,” said Montgomery. “We will also discuss long-term relationships and how we have successfully integrated multiple supply chain functions to provide better visibility and deeper partnership opportunities.”

Montgomery joined Kenco in 1990. As vice president of technology, she has responsibility for all facets of technology including strategy, applications, infrastructure, support, and execution. She is a frequent speaker on the use of technology in the logistics and warehousing industries, and chairs the International Warehouse and Logistics Association (IWLA) Technology Conference committee. She also serves as the Chairman of the local IT Leadership Committee, is a member of her local chapter of Women in Technology, Inc., and is a Certified Information Executive Level II. She frequently volunteers in the BuildIT program in the local chapter of Girls, Inc., a program designed to encourage middle and high school girls to enter a career in information technology.
